ABC’s Lost is the superlative television show of the twenty first century with its brilliant and erratic plot, unique use of time, and perpetual sense of mystery.
Lost is a show renowned for leaving fans with a burning voracity, always craving more. The way in which it makes its viewers question everything is one of its most prominent attributes, as well as one of the key components of the show that sets it apart from so many others. Any show capable of making people question things in the ways Lost has made its fans question everything, is worth watching.
Its volatile and turbulent plot provokes an abundance of intense emotions, and ensures an unceasing sense of anticipation in the Lost universe. With each new episode, preexisting questions unravel, new questions emerge, and others are left more unclear than ever, with many of these unresolved disputes continuing to perplex fans today, in spite of the show ending nearly a decade ago.
From the very first episode, the characters are portrayed so meticulously, all with such heterogeneous backgrounds that every single person watching, with no exceptions, will have at least one character, if not more, that they can deeply relate to. For this reason, fans cannot help but fall in love with these characters and feel for them and all that they are to endure during their time on, and off, of the island.
Throughout the six seasons, one of the biggest contenders the characters grapple with is time. Lost’s unconventional take on time is one its most appealing features, and is a leading component of the show’s originality that makes Lost a show unique to anything before it, and unable to be followed by anything remotely like it.
